AI Translation

Enabling Real-time Translation

Enabling Real-time Translation allows users to translate audio during live transcription sessions. This feature is available across multiple platforms, including the web, Android, and iOS applications.

  • How to Enable: During a live transcription session, users can activate the translation feature via a toggle switch in the settings menu.
  • Switching Languages: Users can switch between supported languages at any time during the transcription. The changes take effect from the current paragraph onward.
  • Disabling Translation: Users can turn off the translation feature if it's no longer needed. Doing so will stop translating new text but will retain previously translated text.

Supported Languages

Supported Languages include a wide range of languages to meet the diverse needs of users. The specific list of supported languages can be accessed via the settings menu in both the web and mobile applications. Votars continuously updates and expands its language support to include more languages over time.

Viewing and Editing Translations

Viewing and Editing Translations allows users to review and adjust the translations as needed.

  • Real-time Transcription: While transcribing in real-time, users can see the translations being generated instantly. If a switch in the language occurs, the new language will be used for translations starting from the current paragraph.
  • Post-transcription Editing: After the transcription session ends, users can edit the translations. An option is available to regenerate the entire translation, but this will overwrite all previously translated content.
  • Note: Editing existing translations directly within the platform ensures that any modified content is accurately reflected and saved in the system.
