Recording Options

1. Computer and Phone Microphones

Recording with a Computer Microphone (WEB)

  1. Open the Recording Page:
    • From the dashboard, click “Start record”
  2. Select Input Source:
    • Choose “Computer Microphone” as the input source.
  3. Select Transcription Language:
    • Select the desired transcription language(s). You can choose multiple languages.
  4. Start Recording:
    • Click the “Start Recording” button.
  5. Real-time Transcription Display:
    • The interface will automatically switch to the files page and display real-time transcription.
  6. Stop Recording:
    • Click the “Stop Recording” button after the meeting ends.

Recording with a Phone Microphone (Android & iOS APP)

  1. Open the Application:
    • Open the Votars app on your Android or iOS device.
  2. Navigate to Recording Section:
    • Tap the “Start record” option in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Start Recording:
    • Tap the “Start Recording” button.
  4. Select Transcription Language:
    • Select the desired transcription language(s). You can choose multiple languages.
  5. During Recording:
    • Speak clearly into the phone’s microphone. The interface will automatically switch to the files page and display real-time transcription.
  6. Stop Recording:
    • Tap the “Stop Recording” button after recording is complete.

2. Direct Webpage Recording (WEB)

  1. Open the Recording Page:
    • From the dashboard, click “Start record”
  2. Select Input Source:
    • Choose “Direct Webpage Recording” as the input source.
  3. Select Transcription Language:
    • Select the desired transcription language(s). You can choose multiple languages.
  4. Start Recording:
    • Click the “Start Recording” button.
  5. Real-time Transcription Display:
    • The interface will automatically switch to the files page and display real-time transcription.
  6. Stop Recording:
    • Click the “Stop Recording” button after the meeting ends.

3. Recording via Bot

Bot Recording Setup and Recording

  1. Login to Votars:
    • Download and log in to the Votars application.
  2. Initiate Bot Recording:
    • From the dashboard, click “Bot Recording.”
  3. Select Transcription Language:
    • Select the desired transcription language(s). You can choose multiple languages.
  4. Paste Meeting Link:
    • Paste the link of the meeting you wish to record. The system will automatically identify the meeting platform (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom).
  5. Set Bot Name:
    • Set a name for the Bot for identification in the meeting.
  6. Start Recording:
    • Click the “Start Recording” button. The Bot will join the meeting, and start recording and transcribing the content.
  7. Automatic Stop Recording:
    • The Bot will automatically leave the meeting and stop recording once the meeting ends.

4. Upload Audio or Video Files for Transcription

Upload Files for Transcription Setup

  1. Open the Upload Page:
    • From the dashboard, click “Upload.”
  2. Select File Type:
    • Support for multiple audio and video file formats, including but not limited to MP3, WAV, MP4, AVI.
  3. Upload File:
    • Click the “Choose File” button to upload from your device or drag and drop the file into the upload area.
  4. Paste File Link:
    • Alternatively, you can paste the file link (e.g., Google Drive, YouTube, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.).
  5. Select Transcription Language:
    • Select the desired transcription language(s). You can choose multiple languages.
  6. Start Transcription:
    • Click the “Start Transcription” button. The system will automatically process and generate transcription content.
  7. View Transcription Results:
    • Once transcription is complete, you can view and download the transcription content from the files page.
