Change or reset your password

Change Your Password

  1. Log In:
    • Log in to your Votars account using your current email address and password.
  2. Access Account Settings:
    • In the top-right corner of the dashboard, click on your profile picture or initials to open the user menu.
    • Select “Account Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Change Password:
    • In the Account Settings page, locate the “Password” section.
    • Click on the “Change Password” button.
    • Enter your current password for confirmation.
    • Enter your new password and confirm it by entering it again in the provided fields.
    • Click “Save” to update your password.
  4. Confirmation:
    • You will receive a confirmation notification on your dashboard indicating that your password has been successfully updated.

Reset Your Password

  1. Go to the Login Page:
    • On the Votars login page, click on the “Forgot Password?” link.
  2. Enter Your Email Address:
    • Enter the email address associated with your Votars account.
    • Click “Submit” to receive a password reset email.
  3. Check Your Email:
    • Open the email from Votars and click on the password reset link provided.
  4. Reset Password:
    • Enter a new password and confirm it by entering it again in the provided fields.
    • Click “Reset Password” to update your password.
  5. Confirmation:
    • You will receive a confirmation notification indicating that your password has been successfully reset.
    • You can now log in to your Votars account using your new password.

Additional Notes

  • Password Requirements: Make sure your new password meets all security requirements, such as length and complexity.
  • Password Reset Link Validity: The password reset link sent to your email will only be valid for a certain period. If it expires, you will need to request a new reset link.
